Purchasing Business Rep – GM Europe (GME)Position summary and essential functions:

Responsible for the acquisition of Supplier Declarations from GM Europe suppliers. Duties include: researching and updating supplier contact information; placing telephone calls to suppliers and sending e-mail correspondence to obtain completed documents and information within given timelines; auditing received documents and contacting suppliers to obtain required corrections; updating supplier responses in the solicitation program; and, other related tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. The acquisition and processing of Supplier Declarations, including but not limited to:
• Communicating with suppliers, both verbally and in writing.
• Placing solicitation telephone calls to the supplier contact to request the return of the Supplier Declaration; recording call comments according to guidelines; and developing a rapport with supplier contacts and learning the unique issues involved with each company.
• Educating suppliers on the use of the STTAS web-based solicitation program and the instructions for the completion of the Supplier Declaration.
• Auditing Supplier Declaration documents for accuracy and contacting suppliers for necessary corrections.
• Data entering supplier responses into the solicitation system, when applicable.
• Conducting research to obtain supplier contact information; and other data, as required.
• Updating supplier contact information in the STTAS solicitation program.
• Maintaining files for supplier information, hard copy documentation received, and other documentation as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications

1. Must be fluent in German language (written as well as spoken.)
2. Must be available to work 5:00am to 2:00pm Monday thru Friday.
3. Must evidence good organizational skills.
4. Must evidence excellent communication skills
5. Must evidence basic keyboard and P.C. skills.
6. Must consistently demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, professional mannerisms and commitment to personal, team and company goals.
